Hi Cecil,

I am sorry if I cannot respond immediately sometimes. I get so busy these days, trying to do so many things at the same time. I have not even responded to Fritzie's email yet. And that was way back in February.

To be frank, I find it difficult to write these days, unless I can feel that there is really a communion of minds, or what I call a baring of souls.

In your emails, somehow I find this connection. Perhaps, it is a feeling I get about how you care about your Dad, your sister, brothers, nephews and nieces. Do not get a swell head, but for some reason, among my brother's kids, somehow it is you who won the hearts of my sisters (your Aunts) and my parents (your Grandparents).

I used to write very long letters, sometimes 6-8 pages long, especially when I was in high school and college and to an extent, when I first arrived here in the United States. Usually, a long letter is triggered by some bits of thoughts shared by the other person's letter inspired me. I have to admit that sometimes I ramble because I just wrote down what came to my mind, as I write the letter.

I do not expect you to write as long as I do — only that you share about the goings in the Federico Caday family part of the Caday clan, and more personally about you; your dreams and aspirations, things that matter to you and anything that has significance you wish to share.

I did see your pictures. Thanks. Honestly though, without your telling me in detail, i.e., "photo by photo" on "who is who", it is difficult for me to tell who is who. It has been so long. My images of you were those when you were still quite young.

One of my greatest disappointments is that I did not have as much chance to be with your Dad and your family. To be very honest with you, I really would have wanted to interact with your family more when you were growing up. But, if you are a very perceptive person, you would understand why that did not happen or why the rest of the Caday clan did not have that chance either.

We talked about your family a lot though, you, your sister and your brothers and of course your Dad. We specially miss your family during our gatherings in Ilagan. Believe me when I say this, the rest of the Caday clan would have wanted to visit your family more. If you try to ponder this enough, you are old enough now perhaps to understand why that did not happen.

I would be very grateful if you can provide me with some pictures of your family, individually, because I had the least interaction with you. However, instead of sending them by email, we can use your interest in webpage design (e.g., learning HTML, PHP, MySQL) so that together we can create a family album, initially of the Federico Caday family, and if you are so inclined the rest of the Caday clan, eventually.

I have tried numerous times to initiate a family (internet) album, but I never did get enough enthusiasm from your cousins and their parents. Perhaps, you can help me with this. Such a family album could even have a calendar, where we can place the happenings — birthdays, graduations, gatherings, reunions, engagements, weddings, passing away, sharing vacation experiences, stories, achievements, etc. — centered around the nucleus of the Caday clan and including those associated by marriage and relations. This would then include the extended clans of the Cadays & Simons (my Father's side), Buteds & Gacusanas (my Mother's side), Figarolas (Ching), Francos (Evie), Zingapans (Nil), Bulans (Naty), Saquings (Priming), and Jaramillos (Flor).

Your Tito Boy
